Position Overview

SCP Health, a physician-founded and physician-led organization, is seeking a dedicated Emergency Medicine Physician (MD/DO) to join the Emergency Department at Hillsboro Area Hospital, a critical access hospital located in Hillsboro, Illinois.

This opportunity offers a low-to-moderate volume Emergency Department, 12- or 24-hour physician shifts, and the ability to practice broad-scope emergency medicine in a newly renovated, physician-friendly facility.

• Patient Volume: 6,000 ED visits annually
• Specialties: Emergency Medicine
• Coverage Model: Physician coverage with 12- or 24-hour shifts
• Facility Type: 25-bed Critical Access Hospital
• Acuity: Low to moderate
• EMR: CPSI
• ICU: Yes
• Procedures: Standard emergency medicine procedures
• Admissions/Transfers: Coordinated as appropriate
• Tele Coverage: Telemed at night

Qualifications

• Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Licensure: Illinois medical license (or ability to obtain)
• Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
• Experience: Prior Emergency Department experience preferred
• Clinical Skills: Broad emergency medicine skill set appropriate for a critical access environment
